MPress Records' Artist Seth Glier To Embark on the "Light It Up, Let It Go Tour"Singer-songwriter joins forces with Musicians On Call & local charities for fall tour Songsmith, altruist & environmentalist Seth Glier combines all his passions for his run this fall. The "Light It Up, Let It Go Tour" kicks off in NYC at the Rockwood Music Hall on Sept. 24th and includes music from his forthcoming release "The Next Right Thing" (MPress Records - 2011), as well as highlights from his current album "The Trouble With People". In addition, the tour will feature special "Light It Up" events that make this different from any other tour. Glier, who joined forces with Musicians On Call earlier this year for his "Rock For Rooms Residency", is partnering up with them again for his fall tour. The impact that visiting and performing for patients in clinics has had on the singer, inspired the premise for this tour. "For me, the 'Light It Up, Let It Go Tour' is about renewing and regenerating oneself. It's about letting go of the stage lights, monitor mixes, dressing rooms and tour gear, and using pure simple music to light up the people and places who need it the most," said Glier. However, there is more to this tour than the clinic performances. Glier will also be hosting special "Light It Up" events including autism benefits & songwriting workshops. Showcasing some of the new music that he's crafted for his second album "The Next Right Thing" due out in January 2011 on MPress Records. More events and shows are being confirmed for the "Light it up, Let it go Tour"; stay tuned by signing up for his mailing list, and be the first to hear about the new dates and the upcoming video campaign for "The Next Right Thing." |

Singer-songwriter Glier was raised on the music of Joni Mitchell, Martin Sexton and Jeff Buckley, but he considers his brother to be his greatest influence. "My brother is autistic and non-verbal. I learned to communicate with words better once I realized how to communicate to someone without them." Boston-based Glier is already a seasoned troubadour, having shared stages with John Mayer, Edwin McCain, Martin Sexton, Erin McKeown and James Taylor. Other notable supporters of Glier's music include acclaimed singer-songwriters Ellis Paul and Livingston Taylor. Glier’s accomplishments surpass his age -- he has performed hundreds of shows, including a set for more than 25,000 people on the National Mall in Washington D.C. Livingston Taylor says "Listening to Seth’s music gives me hope for what’s to come. The next generation is alive and well." As a green (environmentally conscious) artist, Glier continues to travel in his hybrid vehicle, promotes fan carpooling, & sells organic merchandise in support of his debut album "The Trouble With People," released November 3rd on MPress Records.
